STUDENT SERVICE OFFICER
LTF Grade 3 Flight Instructor Gulled Ibrahim grew up living close to Moorabbin Airport and developed a fascination for planes early. He built remote control planes as a kid, and later on, further fuelled that passion by attending airshows and career expos. He started flying in high school and was instantly hooked, working as a ground handler at Melbourne Airport to soak up as much as he could while completing a Degree in Aviation and his Commercial Pilot Licence.
During his Flight Instructor Rating, Gulled loved going back over earlier lessons and concepts and seeking further knowledge in the aerodynamics and science of flight. He’s looking forward to being able to give something back to students, being a mentor, and making a real difference in their flight training.
Whilst building his knowledge as a Flight Instructor is the immediate career plan, eventually Gulled hopes to fly with an airline and also work in aviation management roles. Eventually, he would love to return to his family’s native Somalia, and help inspire young people there to learn more about aviation.
