Program Overview

MECIR (Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating)

Fly In Any Conditions

A MECIR (Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating) is an essential step in your career. It allows you to pilot the aircraft with more than one engine, and most importantly, it provides you with the flexibility and skills to depart and arrive at aerodromes when weather is marginal.

The course follows the CASA syllabus. It includes a mix of training on simulators and twin-engine aircraft including the Piper Seminole and Diamond DA42.

This highly regarded course will have you solely rely on your skills and exceptional training to pilot a multi-engine aircraft in all weather conditions safely.

Expand Your Aviation Career Options

You have to hold a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) to undertake this MECIR (Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating) training.

This MECIR rating is valuable for any pilots looking to expand their aviation career. Especially for those looking at eventually entering the airline industry.

Jhoanna Manicdo

I really enjoyed the new challenges of flying the multi-engine Diamond DA42 aircraft in the MECIR course. The new skills I learnt are very important for my career, and I can’t wait to put them into practice. At LTF the instructors are great, which makes learning so much better – Jhoanna Manicdo from Philippine
